HISTORIC PICTURE DONATED TO US - DEER HUNTING SEASON, 1992

We have been told by many that there used to be pictures of hunting groups on our walls. Several people have come in looking for them and have been disappointed to learn they all vanished over time. Taken, thrown away....so many memories have been removed from our place over the years.

This weekend we were gifted this replacement photo by our wonderful friend Carl Spurling! This photo features many current and past Humbirdians and we are so honored to have it in our possession   Per the date on the sign, this photo was taken in 1992. How cool is it to not only see our friends, but to see how the front of our building looked back then! Note the small front window. We can only imagine how dark it was inside the bar!

Not only does this photo show how different the front of our building was back then, it shows what a community event hunting season was. Before you could register online, you had to come register at a physical location. Hunters got together and showed off their harvests, proud to be successful and helping to feed their families. It's a camaraderie that existed before the internet and we are so grateful to have this wonderful photo back where it belongs.
