Join us for the ultimate role-playing experience - a 1940's murder mystery in an over 150 year old building that was a dance hall in the 40's! Unlike most murder mystery dinners in which you pay to watch actors have all the fun, you are part of the action! It's the 1940's and Humbird is in it's glory days as a midway stop between Chicago and the Northwoods. Hwy 12 is bustling with activity and bringing every glamours and sophisticated mover and shaker to the Hotel Humbird Tavern's "Talk of the Town Dance Hall." Tonight we're hosting the ultimate dance competition with a cool million dollars on the line that has every pro and amateur alike hot stepping it to town! It's promising to be a swinging good time....until someone takes the term "cut a rug" too far by taking out one of the judges! Whodunnit? Was it a the Marilyn Monroe wannabe with stars in her eyes? The Italian Stallion with the fresh gold chains and possible mob connections? The hard working makeup mogul who can't give up on secret speakeasies....everyone's a suspect! Do you have the moxie to work out who the jive turkey is before another body hits the floor? Join us as we continue our Overnight Murder Mystery Dinner Parties! The evening will include the following: *3-6pm - Check in to your hotel room. *6pm – Cocktail Hour. Meet your fellow hipsters and dames Each one will receive secret traits that could help or hinder the investigation. *7pm – Appetizers are served and the investigation starts. *8pm - The Main Course is served and the first set of clues are revealed. *9pm - Dessert is served and more clues are revealed. *10pm - Coffee, After Dinner Drinks, accusations and the Finale! *Continental Breakfast will be served in our Concession Room in the morning. Prizes will be given for Best Costume, Best Acting and Best Detective! So come in your best hat and boots, get into your character and be top sleuth! This event is limited to 12 people. Once 12 people are booked in the hotel, any rooms still available will be blocked out. As the date for the event draws near, we will email all attendees their character information, so you can dress & prepare accordingly. We will also inquire about any food allergies to insure all those in attendance can enjoy the meal without concerns. We are able to create alternate endings to the story, so if the event sells out, we can host it again without any spoilers! The price to attend the event is incorporated into the cost of the rooms on the date in our booking system. No additional fees apply with the exception of any bar drinks.
