Owners Matt and Elizabeth (Team H Adventures) have spent years ghost hunting some of the most notorious paranormal locations in the country and are excited to put THE HUMBIRD on the paranormal map!​ Please read our hotel and ghost hunting rules and policies prior to booking. ​Owners Matt and Elizabeth (Team H Adventures) have spent years ghost hunting some of the most notorious paranormal locations in the country and are excited to put The Humbird on the paranormal map!​​​ The evening will include the following, with breaks in between to use restrooms and recoup: ​3-6pm - Check in to your hotel room 6pm - Bar & Grill closes to the general public 7-8pm – Meet and Greet with complimentary food and drink. An introduction to the history of The Humbird and stories from our paranormal team regarding their experiences in the property and throughout the years in places like the Lizzie Borden House, The Conjuring House, The Sallie House, Trans-Alleghany Asylum and more! 8-9pm – A tour of the hotel pointing out the many paranormal hotspots you will encounter, followed by a hands-on introduction to ghost hunting equipment, best practices and techniques. 9-11pm – THE HUNT! MURDER MYSTERY DINNER

Join us for the ultimate role-playing experience - a wild west murder mystery in an over 150 year old bar built during the frontier days! Unlike most murder mystery dinners in which you pay to watch actors have all the fun, you are part of the action! Our story takes place in the old west town Rock River, where brave souls travel to stake their claims and find gold. The BBQ is fresh, the drinks are flowing and a good time is being had by all....until a local prospector is found tied, dragged and shot to his death! Whodunnit? Was it a competing prospector wanting to stake their claim to a fortune? A town shopkeeper owed money? The disgruntled and frustrated sheriff?.... Are you brave enough to face the lawlessness of the wild wild west to solve the case? Join us as we continue our Overnight Murder Mystery Dinner Parties! The evening will include the following: *3-6pm - Check in to your hotel room. *6pm – Cocktail Hour. Meet your fellow cowboys and cowgirls. Each one will receive secret traits that could help or hinder the investigation. *7pm – Appetizers are served and the investigation starts. *8pm - The Main Course is served and the first set of clues are revealed. *9pm - Dessert is served and more clues are revealed. *10pm - Coffee, After Dinner Drinks, accusations and the Finale! *Continental Breakfast will be served in our Concession Room in the morning. Prizes will be given for Best Costume, Best Acting and Best Detective! So come in your best hat and boots, get into your character and be top sleuth! This event is limited to 12 people. Once 12 people are booked in the hotel, any rooms still available will be blocked out. As the date for the event draws near, we will email all attendees their character information, so you can dress & prepare accordingly. We will also inquire about any food allergies to insure all those in attendance can enjoy the meal without concerns. We are able to create alternate endings to the story, so if the event sells out, we can host it again without any spoilers! The price to attend the event is incorporated into the cost of the rooms on the date in our booking system. No additional fees apply with the exception of any bar drinks. Let's Horse Around! Donne your bowties, big hats, and saddle up for our Kentucky Derby Party! It's our location's traditional long-standing Derby viewing party! Come dressed to impress as prizes will be handed out for the Best Dressed and the Best Hat. Starting at 4pm, the first 20 people in the door will be given the opportunity to Spin the Wheel to be assigned a horse to cheer on for the win! Come in and see us for further details.
