HISTORIC ITEMS FOUND AT THE HUMBIRD

During a deep clean of the bar, we discovered some old treasures hidden underneath our bar back!
All items were in poor condition, covered in dirt and debris, but we painstakingly used archaeological techniques to clean them off, taking time to not damage the items further.
What we uncovered was a screenshot of the mid 1950's, when owners Ed & Louise Shramek ran our property, which at the time they called HOTEL HUMBIRD & BAR.
Seeing all these items together, we feel transported to the past, where state senators pounded the pavement to campaign, while snacking on the latest greatest candy bars and chewing gum. A time when matchbooks were a promotional tool, and items were wrapped in waxed paper and shipped in cloth.
Although a couple of coins are pre and post the 1950's, the other items are all from that time frame.
What a discovery! We recently just learned of Ed & Louise's ownership of our property and now we have these relics of their time here! We're looking forward to adding all these to our collection and getting them on display for all to see.
