HISTORIC HOTEL BAR MATCHBOOK FOUND - EDWIN KLEINSASSER & JIMMY

We found another lost treasure and uncovered a new mystery!

Deep within the recesses of the internet, we connected with a retired musician in Connecticut who had collected memorbilia from the locations he played at in his youth. He graciously sold us this old matchbook from the late 1940's - early 1950's to add to our growing collection.

We know from our research that this matchbook was produced for owner Edwin Kleinsasser who was here in our property around the late 40's to August 1953. This is the first piece of memorbilia we have collected from his time here!

But the question is....who is Jimmy???? Per our research, Mr. Kleinsasser was never married and never had children. We have previously shared the tangled web that is the 1950 census showing three owners of record living under our roof, but no one named Jimmy or James was listed living here.

So, was Jimmy a business partner or a life partner? Did he live somewhere else or with Edwin? We would love to find out more and hope anyone with any information on him will reach out to us.
